The Google Career Certificates programme reached a major milestone in July 2026, when Google expanded the initiative to offer a total of 350,000 certificates nationwide, adding 150,000 new scholarships that year alone and shifting the programme from a series of individual learning opportunities into a broader workforce development effort.
