In order to provide IT assistance for the Rehnumai Markaz portal, PITB interacts with the Higher Education Department.

The Punjab IT Board has extended its support to the Higher Education Department and Punjab Higher Education Commission for the recently launched ‘Rehnumai Markaz’.

The Rehnumai Markaz portal, which is accessible via mobile and web, provides students with information on academic programs, local and international scholarships, job openings, entrepreneurship opportunities, counseling, and soft skill assistance.

The portal presently offers access to more than 30000 free online professional courses, 500 international and domestic scholarships, and 50 entrepreneurship support programmes.

The portal was launched by First Lady Bushra Imran at an event that included PITB Chairman Azfar Manzoor, Secretary Higher Education Department Nadeem Mehboob, and other stakeholders.

During a solemn event here at the Punjab Sports Board (PSB) E-Library facility at Nishtar Park Sports Complex, the portal and a research hub that would promote Sufism, science, and technology in the country were opened.

The Sheikh Abul Hasan Ash-Shadhili Sufism Science and Technology Research Centre will be housed at Government College University Lahore’s new campus in Kala Shah Kaku.

CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come. CWPK is part of the SPIN/IDG Wakhan media umbrella.
