The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has announced new contract-based job opportunities for professionals across technical, administrative, managerial and programme-related fields. The vacancies offer opportunities for candidates with different educational backgrounds and levels of professional experience, including those interested in software development, IT infrastructure, digital services and project management. According to the recruitment announcement, applications will be accepted online through the Punjab government’s official jobs portal until November 4, 2026. The recruitment drive covers positions in Lahore and other districts of Punjab, providing opportunities for professionals seeking employment in public-sector technology projects. The vacancies span multiple departments and functions, reflecting the range of expertise required to develop, maintain and manage technology-driven services and programmes.

The advertised positions include Associate Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Principal Mobile App Developer, Network Administrator, Infrastructure Automation Officer (Datacenter), Incident Response Officer and Joint Director (GPU Infrastructure). Other vacancies include programme officers and managers, customer support representatives, regional coordinators, marketing and strategy professionals, video animators and administrative support staff. Educational requirements vary by position, with many professional roles requiring 16 years of education, while certain support and administrative positions accept 12 or 14 years of education. Experience requirements also differ, ranging from entry-level opportunities for selected roles to several years of relevant experience for senior technical and management positions. The reported age limit is generally up to 45 years for most vacancies, while the Joint Director (GPU Infrastructure) position has an upper age limit of 55 years. Applicants should check the official advertisement to confirm the specific qualifications, experience and age requirements for each role.

The vacancies cover several areas important to public-sector technology operations. Software engineers and mobile application developers contribute to the development and maintenance of digital platforms, while network administrators and infrastructure specialists help manage the systems that support technology services. The Infrastructure Automation Officer and Joint Director positions related to GPU infrastructure are particularly relevant to specialised computing and IT operations. Meanwhile, programme management, customer support and regional coordination roles support the implementation and administration of projects. Candidates should assess the requirements of each position carefully before applying, as eligibility criteria and responsibilities may differ considerably across technical, managerial and support roles. The recruitment process also requires government and semi-government employees to apply through the proper channel. Applications submitted by email, fax, post, courier or in person will not be accepted, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further stages of recruitment. No travel or daily allowance will be provided for the selection process.

Interested candidates can submit applications through the official Punjab Jobs Portal here before the November 4, 2026 deadline. Applicants should review the vacancy descriptions and provide accurate information and supporting details as required by the portal. PITB has also cautioned applicants against fraudulent employment offers, advising that its vacancies are advertised through national newspapers and the official Punjab Jobs Portal. Candidates are not required to pay a fee at any stage of the recruitment process and should avoid making payments to individuals promising employment or guaranteed selection. The online portal remains the primary channel for checking available positions, eligibility conditions and application instructions. Prospective applicants are encouraged to verify all details directly through official sources and complete their submissions before the closing date to ensure their applications are considered.
