Each year, Bloomberg publishes a listing of the remarkable individuals who defined the global business; the list for 2018 is out now. While there are many similar faces from 2017, a lot of new names have also made it to the Bloomberg50 this year. One such name is that of Careem’s co-founder Mudassir Sheikha.
He is the only Pakistani to be featured on the list among the likes of Mukesh Ambani (Asia’s richest mogul), Jeff Bezos CEO Amazon, and Chrystia Freeland the Canadian Foreign Minister.
Mudassir Sheikha has been included in the technology and science category of the Bloomberg50 list. In October he raised $200 million to grow Careem into mass transit and deliveries.

Furthermore, according to Bloomberg, Careem is an attractive potential purchase for Uber Technologies Inc. which is in discussions to acquire it for as much as $2.5 billion.
The Bloomberg list consists of people whose accomplishments were noteworthy in the fields of business, entertainment, politics, finance, and technology and science in 2018.
