The programme is structured across two distinct days, each covering a different aspect of AI adoption within a governance context. The first day will focus on applied generative AI and workflow automation, covering topics including prompting techniques, custom GPTs, Microsoft Copilot, NotebookLM, and the workflow automation tool n8n. This portion of the workshop appears designed to give participants practical, hands-on experience with tools they could realistically apply to automate routine tasks or improve efficiency within their own departments.
The second day shifts focus toward secure enterprise AI, retrieval augmented generation, and broader organizational transformation, covering areas such as Ollama, confidential document handling, risk assessment, and the development of three year governance roadmaps. This more security and governance focused component reflects the particular considerations government departments must weigh when adopting AI tools, particularly around data confidentiality and the need for structured, long term planning rather than ad hoc tool adoption. Together, the two day structure suggests the workshop is designed to walk participants through both the practical, immediate applications of AI as well as the longer term institutional planning required to adopt these tools responsibly within a government setting.
The workshop is scheduled for October 10 and 11, running from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day at FAST University’s Islamabad campus.
