Women Can Do (WCD) is a mentoring, training, capacity enhancement initiative by Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness for the young Pakistani women. They are all set to organize their first-ever Emerging Women Entrepreneurs’ Week (EWEW) that is to be held from 6th August 2018 to 10th August 2018 at National Incubation Centre (NIC) Islamabad.
The program will bring together 50 selected women leaders i.e. 10 from each province from public women universities and seminaries to Islamabad where they are to be mentored at NIC for one week of advanced incubation.
The EWEW is to serve as an advanced incubation boot camp for these aspiring female entrepreneurs who have come far by rising beyond all socio-cultural barriers. EWEW will have mentoring sessions by working professionals, successful female entrepreneurs. Moreover, the top 10 startup ideas will be given seed grants by SFEA.
The program has a two part strategy, the first is training and mentoring students of women universities and religious seminaries to become entrepreneurs and efficient job hunters and secondly, advocating for policy and financial services organizations to provide greater space and opportunities to women entrepreneurs in Pakistan.
