Since its launch on March 26, 2025, the Digital Youth Hub (DYH) has become a pivotal platform for young people in Pakistan, registering more than 712,000 users nationwide. Designed to bridge the gap between youth and opportunities in education, employment, and entrepreneurship, the platform leverages artificial intelligence to connect users with over 93,000 domestic job listings and nearly 100,000 international opportunities through a unified digital interface. This initiative positions the DYH as a central hub for nationwide access to resources aimed at empowering young Pakistanis.
Developed under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), the Digital Youth Hub is a collaborative effort with UNICEF as a strategic partner, PMYP as the executing agency, and National Information Technology Board (NITB) as the technical provider. NITB has built the core web portal and mobile application, enabling users to track applications for jobs, scholarships, and loans through integrated dashboards. The platform incorporates AI-driven features that offer real-time insights and personalized dashboards for students, employers, and scholarship donors. As the technology partner, NITB also manages system automation, including integration with the Prime Minister’s Youth Business and Agriculture Loan Scheme and the National Jobs Portal, while a centralized dashboard monitors outreach and performance across youth-focused programs.
The Digital Youth Hub operates on a 4Es framework encompassing Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Engagement & Environment. Through this model, users can access scholarships, online courses, internships, verified job listings, and business financing ranging from Rs. 0.5 million to Rs. 7.5 million. In addition, the platform promotes volunteer opportunities via the National Volunteer Corps, supports sports initiatives under Talent Hunt programmes, and encourages environmental engagement through initiatives such as the Green Youth Movement. By integrating these services into a single platform, the DYH enables youth to navigate multiple pathways for personal and professional growth in a user-friendly, data-driven environment.
Youth constitute roughly 70 percent of Pakistan’s population, representing the nation’s largest demographic asset. Since its initial launch in 2013 and subsequent modernization, the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme has supported over 1.5 million young people through merit-based initiatives. The Digital Youth Hub builds on this legacy by providing an AI-enabled, centralized interface that further expands fair access to education, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities across Pakistan, supporting a generation poised to contribute actively to the country’s socio-economic development.
