PSEB has highlighted the participation of Imran Aftab, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of 10Pearls, in a global discussion on artificial intelligence, education, and the future of work at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh. Aftab joined education and technology leaders on the Orbital Stage for a panel titled “The AI-Humanity Equation: Redesigning Education for a World Beyond Work,” where participants examined how the growing use of AI could change traditional approaches to learning, employment, and professional development.
The discussion focused on how education systems may need to evolve as agentic AI becomes increasingly capable of handling technical tasks and reshaping the way people learn and work. Rather than placing primary emphasis on traditional credentials and content delivery, the panel examined the importance of developing capabilities that remain closely connected to human judgment and interaction. Critical thinking, curiosity, and ethical judgment were identified as important areas for education, while artificial intelligence was discussed as a tool that can personalize learning without replacing the human connection that remains central to education. The panel also considered the importance of helping people identify purpose and meaningful contribution beyond conventional career paths as technology continues to influence employment.
The panel featured Yi-Xian Ng, Chief Executive Officer of EtonHouse International Holdings, Kristina Harrison of Kin & Commons Strategy Group, and Aman Merchant, Chief Executive Officer of Radicle, who moderated the discussion. Their conversation addressed three broad shifts in education: moving from capacities over credentials, moving from personalized learning toward a more humanized approach, and considering purpose beyond work. These themes reflect questions facing educational institutions and technology companies as artificial intelligence becomes more capable of automating technical activities. The discussion also highlighted the need to consider how education can prepare individuals not only for specific jobs but also for changing professional environments and wider forms of contribution.
PSEB said discussions of this nature demonstrate the growing participation of Pakistan technology representatives in international conversations surrounding artificial intelligence, education, human potential, and the future of work. Through Imran Aftab and 10Pearls, Pakistan was represented in a global forum bringing together leaders from the education and technology sectors.
