Huawei hosted an exclusive executive training session for the Pakistan Software Export Board’s senior leadership and management on September 30, 2026, focused on Agentic AI, CodeArts Agent, and openJiuwen, preparing one of Pakistan’s most influential technology institutions for what its participants described as a fundamental shift in how artificial intelligence will reshape workflows, decision-making, and organisational operations in the years ahead.
PSEB’s senior leadership was represented at the session by CEO Faisal Jeddy, Chief Marketing Officer Amir Anzur, Chief Skills Development Officer Dr. Henna Karamat Durrani, Chief Business Development Officer Sulman Hassan, Director of Business Development and Partnerships Shahbaz Hameed, Director of People and Culture Nauman Azhar, and Director of Strategic Coordination and External Reporting Raza Ahmed Sukhera, alongside managers from across PSEB’s key departments. The inclusion of department-level managers alongside the C-suite deliberately extended the conversation beyond senior leadership into the layers of the organisation where AI-driven workflow changes will most directly affect day-to-day operations.
The session centred on a conceptual shift that distinguishes agentic artificial intelligence from the assistive AI tools that have dominated adoption over the past three years. Where conventional AI systems respond to explicit instructions, agentic AI systems plan independently, select and use tools autonomously, navigate information environments, and carry work forward toward defined objectives without requiring a human to direct each step. Huawei’s session introduced PSEB’s leadership to this distinction through the lens of CodeArts Agent, Huawei’s AI-powered software development agent, and openJiuwen, its enterprise knowledge intelligence platform, both of which demonstrate how agentic systems can operate within real organisational workflows rather than simply assisting with isolated tasks.
For a government institution like PSEB, which coordinates Pakistan’s IT export sector across skills development, market access, certification programmes, and international promotion, the implications of agentic AI extend across nearly every operational domain. More efficient internal workflows, stronger decision support through automated information synthesis, and improved service delivery to PSEB’s member companies are among the opportunities the session explored, alongside an emphasis that human oversight, accountability, and governance structures become more rather than less important as artificial intelligence takes a more active role in organisational processes. For PSEB’s leadership, the session was framed as preparation not for a distant future but for a transition already underway, as artificial intelligence moves from tools that assist with tasks to agents that increasingly operate within the workflows that institutions depend on to function.
