Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, announced plans on Saturday to modernize the Frontier Constabulary (FC) with advanced technology and weaponry.

During a meeting with newly recruited officers of the 49th common batch, Minister Naqvi expressed his well-wishes for their future service within the FC. He lauded the FC’s crucial role in combating terrorism and paid tribute to the recently martyred personnel in Dera Ismail Khan, emphasizing their sacrifice as a pillar of national resilience against terrorism.

“These brave FC personnel are a vital asset to the nation, and their sacrifices bolster our determination in the fight against terrorism,” Naqvi stated.

Highlighting the importance of fresh recruits, the minister noted that young officers bring renewed energy to the force. He urged them to uphold high standards of integrity, discipline, and ethics, essential for enhancing the public’s trust in law enforcement agencies.

Naqvi further advised the new officers to move away from conventional, coercive public dealings and to foster a cooperative approach, stressing the need to maintain professional conduct and avoid corruption.
