Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar highlighted the crucial role of science and technology in achieving rapid development goals in the country during his address at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences (GIKI) in Topi, Swabi.
Acknowledging the institute’s significant contribution to the promotion of science and technology, the prime minister emphasized that GIKI plays a vital role in producing high-quality graduates in various engineering disciplines. Reflecting on his first visit to GIKI in the 1990s, he praised both the institute’s infrastructure and the quality of education, noting the students’ energy and enthusiasm.
Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar stated that human beings are created for a noble cause, emphasizing the unique abilities of thinking, conceptualizing, and seeking knowledge that distinguish humans from angels. He highlighted that the establishment of prestigious educational institutions like GIKI was a key aspect of Pakistan’s formation
Expressing the need for replicating GIKI’s success, the prime minister underscored the importance of establishing similar institutes in different parts of the country. He pledged to make efforts to set up GIKI campuses in all provinces.
Commending the institute’s faculty, the prime minister assured the government’s full support for any initiative undertaken by GIKI.
