The IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology in Jamshoro is organizing an Awareness Session 2026 for students across computing and technology disciplines. The session is scheduled to take place on Monday, 17 August 2026, from 10 in the morning until 11 in the morning at the AV Hall in the IT Building at MUET. Organizers have structured the discussion around three key areas, beginning with technical opportunities such as engaging in global initiatives, workshops and student competitions available through the IEEE network. The second focus area centers on professional growth, covering topics such as navigating chapter leadership roles, participating in technical projects and accessing mentorship networks within the organization.
The third area of discussion will address community access, specifically how students can connect with the broader international IEEE computing network that extends well beyond the university’s own student chapter. The session is open to all undergraduate students enrolled in computing and technology disciplines at MUET, with organizers particularly encouraging attendance from students in the 25 and 26 batches, who are likely to benefit most from early engagement with IEEE’s professional and technical resources during their academic careers.
