Master Group is preparing to introduce the Chery QQ3, an all electric hatchback, in Pakistan this month, according to sources familiar with the matter, though the company has yet to officially confirm a launch date or announce local pricing. The vehicle revives Chery’s long running QQ nameplate, which first appeared in Pakistan’s broader automotive history back in 2002 with an 800cc combustion engine, marking a significant shift for the badge as it transitions into a fully electric subcompact hatchback for its latest generation.
Chery unveiled the new electric generation of the QQ3 at the Chengdu Auto Show in China in August 2025, before officially launching the model in its home market in March 2026. The Premium variant of the QQ3 is built around a 42.7 kWh battery paired with a rear mounted electric motor that produces 90 kW, translating to roughly 121 horsepower, alongside 111 Newton meters of torque. The vehicle carries a claimed range of up to 400 kilometers under the NEDC testing cycle, or 310 kilometers under the more stringent WLTP standard, along with a top speed of 135 kilometers per hour. In terms of physical dimensions, the hatchback measures 4,195 millimeters in length, 1,811 millimeters in width and 1,568 millimeters in height, riding on a 2,700 millimeter wheelbase that places it firmly in the subcompact segment.
On the equipment front, the QQ3 comes fitted with six airbags, an 8.8 inch digital instrument cluster and a considerably larger 15.6 inch infotainment touchscreen, alongside wireless charging support and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The vehicle also includes a 540 degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot detection and automatic parking assistance, positioning it as a well equipped option within its price segment. Notably, the QQ3 also features vehicle to load functionality, allowing the car’s battery to power external devices or appliances, a feature increasingly common among newer electric vehicles entering global markets.
Once launched, the Chery QQ3 is expected to compete directly with the Dongfeng Box in Pakistan’s small but growing electric vehicle segment, with the QQ3’s eventual pricing likely to play a decisive role in determining its competitive standing against rival offerings. The introduction of the QQ3 reflects the continued expansion of Chinese electric vehicle brands into the Pakistani market, with Master Group’s local involvement pointing to a broader push by manufacturers to establish a stronger presence in the country’s evolving auto sector as demand for electric mobility options gradually increases among Pakistani consumers.
