Tecno has introduced the Pova AI Buds Pro, a new pair of true wireless earbuds built around artificial intelligence features that allow users to record, transcribe and summarize conversations directly through the device. The earbuds can transcribe speech in real time, create meeting summaries and support translation across up to 78 languages, positioning them as a productivity focused accessory rather than a standard audio product. The launch follows closely behind Tecno’s introduction of the Pova 8 Pro and its Tonino Lamborghini limited edition variant, with the standard Pova 8 Pro scheduled to launch in India on August 18, though no international release date has been confirmed yet.
Artificial intelligence sits at the center of the Pova AI Buds Pro experience, with real time speech transcription and meeting summaries, alongside translation support for up to 78 languages, according to the company. Beyond software capabilities, the earbuds also include built in storage that allows on device recording, with a Quick Note button on the charging case that lets users start recording directly, and Tecno states the earbuds can record continuously for up to four hours. This combination of onboard storage and one touch recording is aimed at users who need to capture calls, lectures or meetings without relying on a connected smartphone.
On the audio and build side, each earbud carries four microphones and supports Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, with Tecno claiming the system can reduce surrounding noise by up to 48dB. The earbuds rely on pinch controls for interaction and support Hi-Res Audio along with LHDC codecs, while dual device connectivity allows users to pair with two devices simultaneously. For durability, the Pova AI Buds Pro carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, making them suitable for everyday use in varied conditions.
On battery performance, Tecno claims the Pova AI Buds Pro can deliver up to 40 hours of total battery life when combined with the charging case, and the case supports both wireless charging and USB Type-C charging, though the wireless charging pad is sold separately. The Tecno Pova AI Buds Pro are priced at around 155 dollars in India and are currently available in a single color option, with no confirmation yet on pricing or availability for the Pakistani market.
