The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan has released a special national song to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, built around themes of youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, innovation and financial independence. The song was produced entirely by SECP’s media team using artificial intelligence tools, marking one of the more visible instances of a Pakistani regulatory body turning to generative AI for a public communications campaign tied to a national holiday. The release positions the commission not just as a corporate and capital markets regulator but as an institution actively engaging with youth focused messaging around economic opportunity.

The song presents a vision of a progressive Pakistan in which young people convert their ideas into businesses, technology opens new avenues for growth, investment fuels expansion, and collective national effort builds a stronger economy. Rather than portraying young Pakistanis as passive beneficiaries of opportunity, the composition frames them as entrepreneurs, innovators, investors and creators who are expected to generate opportunities on their own rather than wait for them to appear. This framing aligns with SECP’s broader mandate to widen access to capital markets and simplify the process through which startups and small businesses can raise investment. The messaging also reflects the regulator’s continuing push to promote entrepreneurship, facilitate access to capital, expand investment channels and improve the overall accessibility of Pakistan’s corporate and financial sectors through digital and technological means.

SECP Chairman Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu said that the future of Pakistan will be shaped by a generation capable of creating new opportunities through ideas, innovation and entrepreneurial capability. He added that empowering the country’s youth and connecting innovation more directly with investment can help lay the groundwork for an economically strong and financially independent Pakistan. His remarks tie the song’s release to SECP’s longer-running policy narrative, in which regulatory reform and technology adoption are presented as tools for expanding financial inclusion and encouraging a more active investor base among younger Pakistanis.

Through the AI-generated composition, SECP has attempted to communicate a broader message about a young, modern and entrepreneurial Pakistan that is working toward shaping its own economic future. The release comes at a time when several Pakistani state institutions have experimented with AI-generated content for public messaging around national events, reflecting a wider shift in how government bodies are approaching digital outreach and audience engagement during moments of national significance.
