Pakistan’s IT Minister Woos Investors, Eyes Collaboration with UAE in Telecom Sector

Pakistan’s Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, emphasized the vast potential for investment in the country’s IT and Telecom sector.

During a meeting with representatives from Taavun (Pvt) Limited and Wateen, Khawaja reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting investment under the Prime Minister’s vision.

“The private sector plays a crucial role in boosting our exports, and we will provide them with full support,” she stated.

Khawaja also acknowledged the importance of youth development, highlighting ongoing initiatives to empower this vital segment of the population.

She expressed appreciation for Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan of the UAE for his interest in further investment in Pakistan’s Telecom sector. This suggests potential collaboration between Pakistan and the UAE in the telecom space.

The meeting signals Pakistan’s focus on attracting investment and fostering growth in the IT and Telecom sectors, potentially leading to increased exports, job creation, and technological advancements.
