In a joint operation, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Zonal Office Sukhar, in collaboration with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Circle, executed a successful raid targeting a franchise engaged in unauthorized SIM activations in Ratodero, district Larkana.

The operation resulted in the discovery of 25 active SIM cards, with authorities also apprehending the franchise owner and another individual associated with the kiosk. This proactive intervention reflects the ongoing efforts of PTA to curb the circumvention of the Multi-Finger Biometric Verification System (MBVS) and crack down on illegal SIM card issuance.

The swift action underscores PTA’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the integrity of telecommunications services and upholding regulatory standards in Pakistan’s telecom sector.
