Federal Directorate of Education Launch Two-Way SMS Feedback Service For Teleschool Service

This initiative would also help the government reach the remote areas, which didn’t have access to education facilities and infrastructure. The SMS feedback service is a currently active two-way service that can be accessed through dialing 8228. This teleschool service was developed through collaboration between various organisations as mentioned in an official tweet by the Ministry such as: “the Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training, DigitalPak_GoP @PTAofficialpk @NTCPakistan and telcos”. This service was launched by Minister Shafqat Mahmood along with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tania Airdus. This is done in an effort by the FDE to generate and sustain an enabling educational environment.

 

The texting service and system will allow the Ministry of Education to provide schedules and other information related to the teleschool to the public and at the same time give feedback on content and structured learning assessment of students. Moreover, the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and Digital Pak sector of the Government of Pakistan have also expressed their gratitude to all cellular companies such as Jazz, Telenor,  Ufone, Zong for their role in making the two way SMS system 8228 possible.The Federal Directorate of Education is an agency of the Government of Pakistan, which is responsible for improving the quality of public schools in Pakistan’s capital of Islamabad. It was established as an attached department of the Ministry of Education in 1967 for providing educational facilities at various levels in  ICT. FDE endeavors to provide a conducive environment of teaching and learning with focus on academic excellence, surging desire for knowledge, attitudinal change including tolerance and compassion, developing a sense of purpose and high achievement with the vision for tomorrow. The Federal Directorate of Education have recently announced the launch of a 2 way SMS feedback service for their ongoing Teleschool service.
