Viper Technology has announced the expansion of its assembly operations to Lahore, marking a significant development in Pakistan’s technology manufacturing landscape. The company, which is recognised as the best selling PC brand in the IDC Q2 2025 Report, stated that the new facility will double its production capacity and enhance delivery efficiency across Punjab and northern Pakistan. With more than three decades of presence in the market, Viper continues to advance its focus on locally assembled computing products that include desktops, laptops, tablets and AI enabled PCs. The expansion is being viewed as an important step that supports both operational scale and broader national ambitions related to technology driven economic development.

According to the company, the Lahore facility will enable it to meet growing demand while maintaining its commitment to the Made in Pakistan initiative. Viper has positioned itself as a local brand that emphasises domestic assembly and encourages the development of skilled labour in the technology sector. The new expansion will generate hundreds of direct and indirect jobs across technical and non technical domains. Engineers, technicians, logistics personnel and local component suppliers are expected to benefit from the increased activity, supporting a wider ecosystem connected to the hardware manufacturing supply chain. This growth in employment aligns with national objectives focused on industrial activity and the retention of economic value within the country.

The company highlighted that several non technical processes such as marketing, packaging and service support will continue to be carried out within Pakistan, alongside the local manufacturing of certain components. By retaining such activities domestically, Viper aims to strengthen local capabilities and reduce reliance on imported finished technology goods. This strategy contributes to foreign exchange savings and supports the growth of industries connected to materials, logistics and after sales services. The current direction also aims to build self reliance in the IT hardware sector by ensuring that knowledge and production capacity remain within the country.

Viper has described the new facility as part of its broader vision to position Pakistan as a regional hub for computer production and export. The company believes that this expansion will support long term development by increasing its operational reach and enhancing its contribution to the national digital infrastructure. With increased capacity and a growing product portfolio, the organisation aims to support both consumer and enterprise markets while expanding Pakistan’s role in the wider regional technology environment. The decision to expand into Lahore reflects confidence in the country’s growing demand for locally assembled devices and reinforces the belief that Pakistan can play an increasingly active role in technology manufacturing across the region.
