Ofero, an electric mobility company focused on electric two wheelers, has entered the Pakistani market with three electric scooter models, expanding the range of options available to consumers interested in battery powered transportation. The company has listed the Ofero Thunder, Ofero Magical and Ofero Hero on its Pakistan website, with the three models offering different combinations of motor output, battery capacity, top speed and claimed range aimed at addressing varying rider needs and budgets.
The Ofero Thunder sits at the top of the lineup as the most powerful model on offer. It is equipped with a motor rated at 1,500 watts with a peak output of 2,000 watts, delivering a top speed of 65 kilometres per hour and a claimed range of between 65 and 90 kilometres depending on riding conditions. The scooter runs on a 76.8 volt, 25 amp hour lithium iron phosphate battery and produces peak torque of 108 newton metres, with a maximum load capacity of 200 kilograms. It comes with a three year warranty on the battery and a two year warranty covering other parts and the motor, and is priced at Rs 349,999.
The Ofero Magical takes a different approach, prioritising a longer claimed range over raw power through the use of a smaller motor. It features an 800 watt rated motor with a peak output of 1,200 watts, a top speed of 53 kilometres per hour, and a claimed range of between 80 and 100 kilometres, making it the longest range option in the lineup despite its comparatively modest motor output. The scooter uses a 48 volt, 32 amp hour lithium iron phosphate battery, produces peak torque of 66 newton metres, and carries the same 200 kilogram maximum load capacity and warranty terms as the Thunder, with a price of Rs 259,999.
Positioned between the two other models in terms of performance, the Ofero Hero offers a 1,000 watt rated motor with a peak output of 1,500 watts, a top speed of 55 kilometres per hour and a claimed range of between 65 and 90 kilometres. It runs on a 64 volt, 25 amp hour lithium iron phosphate battery and produces peak torque of 74 newton metres, with the same 200 kilogram load capacity and warranty coverage as the other two models. The Hero is the most affordably priced of the three, listed at Rs 229,999.
All three scooters in Ofero’s initial Pakistan lineup use brushless hub motors, lithium iron phosphate batteries and LED display screens, with batteries across the range carrying an IPX7 water resistance rating intended to protect against exposure to rain and splashing. The launch adds another entrant to Pakistan’s growing electric two wheeler market, where several companies have introduced battery powered scooters and motorcycles in recent years as consumers look for alternatives to traditional petrol powered bikes amid rising fuel costs and growing interest in lower maintenance transportation options.
