Dr. Sonia Saleem, a distinguished member of the P@SHA Central Executive Committee (CEC), has been nominated as the Focal Person on EdTech & Employability to Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP). This appointment marks a significant step towards strengthening the link between education and employment opportunities for young Pakistanis. With her extensive experience in the technology and education sectors, Dr. Saleem is expected to play a crucial role in designing strategies that enhance youth employability. She will work closely with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry leaders, and educational institutions, to develop initiatives aimed at equipping young professionals with the skills required in today’s competitive job market.

The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme has been at the forefront of youth empowerment initiatives, focusing on education, entrepreneurship, and employment. Dr. Saleem’s role will further reinforce these efforts by integrating EdTech solutions into the program, ensuring that young individuals receive digital and technical training aligned with industry demands. Her appointment has been met with widespread appreciation from the IT and education sectors, recognizing the importance of bridging the skills gap in Pakistan’s workforce. As a technology advocate, Dr. Saleem has been involved in several initiatives promoting digital literacy and workforce readiness, making her an ideal candidate for this pivotal position.

This development also reflects the government’s commitment to fostering innovation and leveraging technology to create meaningful employment opportunities. By prioritizing EdTech, Pakistan aims to prepare its youth for emerging job markets and equip them with the tools needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world. The P@SHA community and industry leaders have extended their congratulations to Dr. Sonia Saleem on this well-deserved appointment, expressing confidence in her ability to drive impactful change. As she embarks on this new role, her efforts are expected to make a lasting impact on youth empowerment and the future of Pakistan’s digital economy.
