Syed Amin ul Haque, the Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, has emphasized the need for the National Information Technology Board (NITB) to effectively market its products both domestically and internationally. His goal is to highlight the “Made in Pakistan” brand as a unique and globally recognized identity.

During the 4th meeting of NITB, chaired by Minister Amin ul Haque at the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), the newly elected CEO of NITB, Babar Majid Bhatti, was warmly welcomed by the Chairman and Board Members. The CEO’s commendable vision and the steps taken during his first 45 days in office, starting from April 10, were discussed and appreciated by the board.

Minister Amin ul Haque emphasized the importance of maintaining meritocracy within the organization and encouraging diligent employees. He also emphasized the need to strictly adhere to rules and regulations. Expressing confidence in the CEO’s skills, competence, and international experience, Minister Haque expressed his hope that NITB would achieve its desired goals under the leadership of the CEO.

Highlighting the increased responsibilities of NITB after obtaining autonomous status, Minister Haque urged the organization to effectively market its products at both domestic and international levels. This strategic promotion would enhance the global recognition of products manufactured in Pakistan, showcasing them as a unique brand.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various topics, including the rules and regulations of the newly autonomous body, ongoing projects, and upcoming initiatives. The relevant committees of the Board were assigned the task of reviewing these matters.

Several high-ranking officials, including Secretary IT Navid A. Shaikh, Secretary NTISB Mansoor Sehgal, JEA Science & Technology Zawwar Hussain, former Secretary Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Member IT Syed Junaid Imam, Director General to Minister Aftab Rashid, Director General Admin and HR Imran Haider, and Director General Telecom Faisal Ratiyal, attended the meeting, providing their valuable insights and support to the board’s proceedings.
