Find My Doctor is set to launch Air Ambulance service in partnership with Star Aviation on 23rd March, 2018.
Come 23rd March 2018, health-based startup FindMyDoctor is all set to launch their Air Ambulance service in the country. Stating that this will be a the fastest method of transporting critically ill patients and dead bodies from one facility to another, the startup made the announcement of the launch all set for this week. The service is being launched in partnership with Star Aviation, cargo airline, headquartered in Karachi.
According to the press release shared, “this kind of a service has never been introduced in Pakistan by a startup”.
The Find My Doctor app was launched in 2016 to help patients locate and rate doctors along with helping them keep track of prescriptions and medical history. Following the app’s launch, the startup went a step ahead and launched a doctors version of the medical app. The startup also raised funding back in September 2017, and announced their vision for a virtual hospital and increased healthcare access across various cities in Pakistan.
Saad Siddiqui, founder and CEO of Find My Doctor, said,
“After introducing Find My Doctor to help patients locate the nearest doctor to them, we thought about doing something for our doctors and that’s when the idea of Find My Doctor Plus came out.”
Once the service is officially launched, anyone can sign up for the air ambulance. Bookings can be made for their preferred time and date through the website or the mobile app.
