PM Shehbaz Urges Qatari Investors to Explore Pakistan’s Key Sectors

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during an official two-day visit to Qatar, extended a call to Qatari investors to explore Pakistan’s economic landscape, including sectors such as agriculture, information technology, and tourism. The visit follows investment commitments worth $600 million secured during his recent trip to Saudi Arabia.

In a detailed meeting with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, PM Shehbaz emphasized Pakistan’s readiness to offer a conducive environment and incentives for foreign investors. Discussions also covered enhancing cooperation in trade, energy, investment, and cultural exchanges, highlighting both nations’ commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

PM Shehbaz expressed gratitude for Qatar’s contributions to Pakistan’s economic growth and lauded its support across various sectors. He also acknowledged the Pakistani expatriate community in Qatar as a vital link between the two countries.

The Qatari prime minister noted Pakistan’s strategic regional significance and expressed enthusiasm for deeper partnerships aligning with Qatar’s vision for economic advancement and regional stability.

Both leaders committed to maintaining high-level dialogues to foster mutual cooperation and explore new growth opportunities. Global and regional issues were discussed, with an emphasis on peaceful solutions. PM Shehbaz appreciated Qatar’s efforts in promoting peace in Gaza and supporting the region’s stability, including Afghanistan.

PM Shehbaz concluded by expressing his gratitude for Qatar’s hospitality, underlining that the visit would further cement the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
