Killing two birds with a stone

Samsung Electronics Pakistan and Ufone have announced the co-launch of Galaxy S5 & Gear Fit. Samsung Electronics Pakistan also announced an industry-first Accidental Coverage and program on its Smartphones in Pakistan. This will showcase the new phone’s screen breakage, liquid damage and numerous other types of damages to the device. Taimur Faiz Cheema, General Manager Marketing, Ufone remarked, “Ufone has the distinction of becoming the exclusive partner of Samsung for the co-launch of Galaxy S5 in Pakistan.” Both companies are confident about this partnership bearing a fruitful outcome in delivering exquisite end product and services to the customers.
At Ufone the value of technology and innovation is ever growing and this step taken to carry out a co-launch is a proof that Ufone always takes a lead.

National Tech and Art Festival comes to an end

The GCU Computer Science Department-arranged All Pakistan Tech and Art Festival 2014 has finally ended. The chief guest of the closing ceremony, GCU VC Prof Dr Khaleequr Rahman, with department of Computer Science Chairperson Dr Saleem Khan, along with faculty members and a large number of students from different universities who were also present there.
400 students from 40 educational institutions including University of Engineering and Technology, FAST, Punjab University, Kinnaird College, UCP and UMT took part in the eighteen competitions. 

Auction and Predictions

World Bank ensures that upcoming 3G technology will boost economy of Pakistan. Jose Callix, Bank Pakistan’s Lead Economist, has said in his recent interview that the introduction of“3G/4G services will certainly contribute to and result in an increase in the amount of telecom services and side by side the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) value. Keeping in mind, we do have concrete estimates measuring such potential impact”
