Pakistan Software Export Board hosted a Certificate Distribution Ceremony at its Islamabad office to honour technology professionals and graduates who successfully cleared elite global certification examinations from AWS, Cisco, Microsoft, and Oracle, with PSEB Chief Executive Officer Faisal Jeddy personally presenting certificates to each awardee and commending their dedication to elevating Pakistani talent in the global technology marketplace.
The ceremony recognised the achievements of professionals who qualified for some of the most respected and widely recognised certifications in the global information technology industry, spanning cloud computing, networking, enterprise software, and database management. AWS, Cisco, Microsoft, and Oracle certifications are among the most sought-after credentials by technology employers both in Pakistan and internationally, carrying significant weight in hiring decisions across cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise resource planning, and software development roles. For Pakistani professionals competing in international job markets or seeking to service global clients as freelancers and consultants, these certifications provide verified, independently assessed proof of competency that transcends geographic and institutional barriers.
Under the Prime Minister’s IT Certification Reimbursement Programme, each recipient received up to Rs70,000 in reimbursement of the examination fees they paid to sit these global certifications, directly addressing the financial barrier that has historically prevented many qualified Pakistani candidates from attempting internationally recognised professional examinations. Certification fees for AWS, Cisco, Microsoft, and Oracle programmes can range from the equivalent of Rs20,000 to well over Rs70,000 per examination depending on the certification tier, representing a significant out-of-pocket cost for fresh graduates and early-career professionals who may not yet be earning salaries that make such investments easily affordable. By reimbursing those fees after successful certification, the programme removes the financial risk from the decision to pursue global credentials, incentivising more Pakistani technology professionals to invest in their own skills development and international career positioning.
Faisal Jeddy’s personal involvement in presenting the certificates reflects the significance that PSEB places on this cohort of certified professionals as ambassadors for Pakistan’s technology capability on the world stage. The ceremony also underscores PSEB’s broader mandate of not merely facilitating IT export transactions but actively building the human capital pipeline that will sustain and grow Pakistan’s technology sector over the long term. With Pakistan’s IT exports having crossed the $4 billion mark earlier this fiscal year and the government targeting $15 billion by 2030, the quality and internationally recognised credentials of the country’s technology workforce are as important to that ambition as policy incentives and market access, making programmes that put globally verified skills within financial reach of a wider pool of Pakistani professionals a direct investment in the country’s export growth engine.
