Pakistan and Latvia pledged to strengthen their relationship during the 6th Round of Bilateral Political Consultations held in Islamabad earlier this week.

The discussions, led by Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe) Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan for Pakistan and Deputy State Secretary-Political Director Andzejs Vilumsons for Latvia, highlighted the positive trajectory of ties between the two countries.

Both sides identified trade, investment, energy, education, technology, and labor mobility as key areas for expanding cooperation. They also acknowledged the importance of collaboration to address global and regional challenges.

In a separate meeting, Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi met with Mr. Vilumsons to further discuss bilateral relations and developments on the international stage.

This latest round of consultations underscores Pakistan and Latvia’s commitment to building a stronger and more comprehensive partnership.
