Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), in collaboration with the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI), is organizing an online awareness session for information technology (IT) and IT enabled services (ITeS) companies across Pakistan. The session will be held on October 27, 2026, as an online webinar from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PKT). The announcement was shared by the board with support from the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication and Tech Destination Pakistan, and it is meant for companies in the technology sector that employ staff and need to follow the requirements of the old age benefits system.

The session will provide guidance on the registration requirements of EOBI, the obligations of employers and their contributions, the eligibility of employees and the benefits that they can receive, and key compliance matters. These topics cover what a company must do to register with the institution, what it must pay for its employees, and what workers are entitled to receive, so the session addresses both the duties of employers and the position of their staff. For IT and ITeS companies, which often grow quickly and add new employees, the session offers a chance to confirm that their practices match the rules.

Participants will also have the opportunity to engage directly with representatives of EOBI during an interactive question and answer session. This part of the programme allows company representatives to put specific questions about registration, contributions or compliance to the officials who deal with them, instead of relying only on a presentation. The format gives companies a way to resolve doubts about their own cases, and it brings the institution and the technology industry into direct contact during the webinar.

Companies that are interested in taking part are encouraged to register their interest through the registration form that PSEB has shared. The joining link for the webinar will be sent to the companies that have registered. The announcement was posted with hashtags that include PSEB, EOBI, EOBIRegistration, EmployerCompliance, EmployeeBenefits, ITeS and DigitalPakistan, and it presents the session as a step in business facilitation for the technology industry, with registered companies due to receive the joining details before the session on October 27.
