AI Tinkerers Karachi will hold its October Demo Meetup on Saturday, 31 October 2026, from 2 pm to 5 pm at COLABS, 37-B, PECHS Block 6, Main Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi. AI Tinkerers describes itself as a global community of builders, engineers, and researchers who build and ship products with artificial intelligence (AI), and the Karachi chapter is one of more than 270 city chapters listed on its website. The meetup is planned as an afternoon of live demonstrations and networking among people working with AI. Spots are limited, and the organisers say registrations are screened for active builders, so attendance is confirmed only after approval.
The agenda begins at 2 pm with doors, check-in, and networking, followed by a welcome and framing session at 2:20 pm. Demos start at 2:25 pm, with four slots available, and networking and hallway conversations follow from 4 pm before the event wraps up at 4:50 pm. The organisers have asked presenters to follow a few rules. There should be no slide decks, so demos have to be run live or presented through working components, and presenters should show the internals, including code, configurations, prompts, evaluations, workflow, and orchestration. Each demo should take about 10 minutes with a short question-and-answer session. The organisers describe the event as practical and free of marketing hype, and the final run-of-show will be posted once speakers are confirmed.
Two demos have been listed so far. Audit AI: Trust Architecture, by Haroon K., looks at turning financial audit agencies into AI-enabled agencies by applying nine primitives that are meant to keep audits reliable and make the output of AI agents verifiable. AIPhotos: Private On-Device Search, by Muhammad Rehan R., is a tool that allows private search of Android photo galleries using local AI and Google’s EmbeddingGemma model, which indexes and searches photos without uploading them to the cloud. It supports natural queries such as searching for children playing in the snow, as well as finding similar photos. Anyone who is building something with AI can submit a proposal to present through the event page.
The event page shows that 97 people had registered, and it lists attendees working in product engineering, healthcare software, and start-ups, with interests that include accessibility and agentic AI systems and multi-agent orchestration. The Karachi chapter is organised by Shehzad Ali, a Solution Architect at Arbisoft, and the organisers are looking for sponsors who can provide a venue, credits, or access for builders. AI Tinkerers also runs chapters in Islamabad-Rawalpindi and Lahore, which gives Pakistan’s three main tech hubs a regular place for practical AI demos. The listing does not say whether the event is free to attend, though registration is through an application, and it does not name any companies sponsoring the Karachi meetup.
