Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi has announced the launch of a free Artificial Intelligence Summer Camp for students, timed to coincide with the upcoming summer vacations and aimed at giving young people across the province practical exposure to modern technology and digital skills at no cost.

Speaking at a press conference at Governor House, the governor said the initiative is designed to prepare students for the demands of a rapidly evolving technological landscape, stressing that early exposure to Artificial Intelligence is essential for producing not just job seekers but job creators. He noted that even students who know how to use a mobile phone can learn Artificial Intelligence with the right guidance, making the camp accessible to a broad range of students rather than being limited to those with prior technical backgrounds. The announcement was made in the presence of Minister of State and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Fahad Haroon, along with Daniyal Nagori and other notable figures.

The governor drew attention to how developed nations invest heavily in education, research, and skill development from an early age as the foundation for leading global innovation, and said Pakistan must follow the same path if its youth are to compete and contribute at an international level. He said introducing Artificial Intelligence and modern skills at the school level will help students adapt to future challenges while creating pathways to higher education, employment, and economic contribution. Governor House, he assured, will continue organising practical initiatives of this nature to connect young people with emerging technologies in a structured and accessible format.

Daniyal Nagori briefed attendees that students interested in registering for the Artificial Intelligence Summer Camp can do so online through the official Governor Sindh website. The initiative is part of a broader effort to build digital literacy among Pakistan’s youth and ensure that students in Sindh are not left behind as Artificial Intelligence increasingly shapes education, employment, and economic activity both locally and globally.
