Tech Valley Pakistan has partnered with Capital Development Authority Model School in Islamabad to inaugurate a new Google for Education Center of Excellence, introducing a range of digital learning tools and artificial intelligence based educational resources for students and teachers. The initiative is aimed at providing students in a public school environment with access to modern classroom technology, including Chromebooks, Gemini artificial intelligence tools, Gemini Notebook, Read Along, and Google IDs. The launch is part of an effort to increase access to technology enabled education and provide students with digital resources that can support learning, collaboration, reading, and classroom activities.

The Center of Excellence was formally inaugurated by Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Federal Secretary at the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination, alongside Esfandyar Baloch, Member Administration at Capital Development Authority, and Umar Farooq, Chief Executive Officer of Tech Valley Pakistan. The new facility will introduce Chromebooks into classrooms, providing students with secure and accessible computing devices for educational activities. Gemini artificial intelligence will also be available to support students and teachers with tasks such as writing, visualization, collaboration, and learning. The initiative is designed to introduce students to artificial intelligence tools within an educational setting while providing teachers with additional digital resources that can be incorporated into classroom activities.

Another feature being introduced through the Center of Excellence is Gemini Notebook, which can help students convert lengthy textbooks and other study material into interactive audio and text based study guides. The program will also provide access to Read Along, an artificial intelligence powered reading tool designed to assist children with English reading fluency. Through the use of these tools, students will have access to different forms of digital learning material that can supplement traditional classroom instruction. Google IDs will also be provided as part of the initiative, allowing schools to use secure accounts and data driven insights related to student learning. These insights can support educational planning and help provide information that may be used for policy decisions.

Tech Valley Pakistan said the initiative is intended to help reduce the digital divide between public and private schools by increasing access to technology and artificial intelligence based educational resources. The Center of Excellence at CDA Model School provides a model for introducing Google for Education tools within public sector educational institutions, combining devices, artificial intelligence applications, reading support, and digital accounts in one learning environment. Tech Valley is also inviting other schools interested in establishing Google for Education Centers of Excellence to contact the organisation for further information. Schools can reach Tech Valley Pakistan through hello@techvalley.pk or by calling 0333-5306444. Further information about the initiative is also available through the details shared by Tech Valley Pakistan on its official LinkedIn page.
