To implement E-policing, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government has decided to introduce 4G Helmets for its police as part of the goal set out in the PTI government’s 100 days plan.
According to sources, the 4G helmet is going to be the first ever in Pakistan and will be introduced first in Peshawar. With the help of these helmets, the police force will be able to stay connected with the control room and the Central Police Office (CPO), whether they’re at the location of a possible incident or elsewhere. The new system reportedly has the capability to record the position of every on-duty police official.

Furthermore, the helmets will also sport a camera with an audio and video system that will also be connected with the internet along with night vision goggles and a Digital Mobile Radio (DMR).
However, the KP government hasn’t announced any date as to when the 4G helmet will become a part of the command and control structure.
