NUST has partnered with Advanced Industrial Materials (AIM) from Hong Kong to establish a state-of-the-art Agri-Tech Tower. The facility will serve as a hub for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the agricultural domain.
Despite Pakistan’s vast agricultural land, the country faces challenges in productivity, import dependency, and food security. The collaboration aims to address these issues by promoting advanced farming techniques, developing new crop varieties, and boosting local production.
MOU was signed on July 23, 2024, with a groundbreaking ceremony planned for August. The project is expected to attract international investment and expertise, creating job opportunities and contributing to economic growth.
“We are excited to partner with NUST on this transformative project,” said Mr. Zaeem Shiko, CEO of AIM. “This facility will bring together academia and industry to develop cutting-edge agricultural technology products.”
