Nothing’s budget-focused sub-brand CMF is preparing to enter the wireless speaker market with two new portable audio products, the CMF Speaker S and Speaker M. The company has confirmed that both models will launch on October 12, marking its expansion into another consumer electronics category beyond smartphones, earbuds, headphones and smartwatches. While CMF has shared limited official information so far, leaked retailer listings have revealed details about the speakers’ designs, expected specifications and indicative prices. Both products feature a distinctive milk-carton-inspired shape, with an angled top section and an integrated carrying handle. The designs also include matte finishes, CMF branding and orange physical controls, reflecting the brand’s emphasis on distinctive styling for its consumer devices. The upcoming launch will introduce CMF to the portable speaker segment, where battery life, portability, sound performance and pricing are important considerations for buyers.

The smaller CMF Speaker S is reportedly equipped with a 40mm full-range driver and a 50mm passive bass radiator. Retailer listings indicate that the speaker will deliver 12W RMS output and support 360-degree sound, allowing audio to spread around the device rather than being directed exclusively toward one side. It is also listed with a 2,500mAh battery that could provide up to 18 hours of playback on a single charge. Other reported specifications include Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, USB-C charging and an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. The Speaker S is listed in Carbon Black and reportedly weighs around 580 grams, making it suitable for carrying between rooms or taking on trips. These specifications remain based on retailer information ahead of the official announcement and may be revised when CMF publishes the final product details.

The larger CMF Speaker M is also listed with 12W audio output but uses a dual-driver configuration and includes a bass boost feature. According to the leaked information, it offers up to 18 hours of battery life, Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, USB-C charging and IP54-rated dust and splash resistance. Its integrated handle is designed to make carrying easier and may also allow users to hang the speaker from a suitable hook or bag. Another notable feature is the orange control knob, which reportedly allows users to adjust volume directly on the device without opening a mobile application. The retailer listing also mentions a low-battery indicator. However, the available information does not specify the Speaker M’s battery capacity or exact weight. The model has appeared in Carbon Black and White, while additional images circulating online suggest that Blue and Orange colour options may also be considered. Those additional colours have not yet been officially confirmed.

Pricing information has also emerged through a Sri Lankan retailer, which reportedly listed the CMF Speaker S at approximately $80 and the Speaker M at around $120. These figures are converted estimates based on local listings rather than confirmed international retail prices, and final pricing may vary by market. CMF is expected to reveal the complete specifications, colour options and availability details when the two speakers are officially introduced on October 12. Until then, the leaked information offers an early indication of how the company plans to position its first speakers, combining portable designs with physical controls and extended advertised playback time. The launch will add another product category to CMF’s existing portfolio, although the speakers’ final performance, pricing and regional availability will become clearer after the official announcement.
