Careem, the Super App for the larger Middle East and Pakistan, has started the Falcon initiative to give young and ambitious engineers in the area possibilities for education and work.

The 12-month programme, which is made up of various training modules, gives recent graduates the chance to use Careem’s cutting-edge technology to solve real-world problems firsthand.

Nine of the program’s more than twenty registered Falcons have already made the move to core tech teams dispersed around the area. This change gives them the opportunity to work directly on a variety of mega app products, including the mobility of people, things, and money.

The Falcons will also get the opportunity to collaborate with Careem technical executives who have extensive backgrounds from major global IT firms like Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Amazon, and Flipkart.

Khurram Naseem, senior director of engineering, stated: “As part of our mission to make people’s lives simpler and better, we need to make sure that we also provide a seamless experience on the app, which necessitates a very strong team of engineers who are constantly working to maintain the quality of the user experience.

He said, “The Falcon initiative allows us to identify exceptional engineers from around the area and provide them the resources they need to become world-class engineers.

Careem intends to establish Pakistan as a hub for technology by developing the engineering and IT sectors and employing recent graduates from all around the nation. Along with the larger engineering teams in Cairo, Jordan, Karachi, and Lahore, these Falcons will collaborate virtually.

More than 800,000 Captains have already enrolled on Careem’s platform. Careem, the region’s Super App, provides a variety of chances as it broadens its services to include peer-to-peer credit transfers, cell top-ups, food, money, and people in motion.
