Yadea Pakistan has officially launched the Ruibin S electric scooter in Pakistan, expanding its electric mobility lineup at a time when rising fuel prices continue to push urban commuters toward more cost-effective two-wheeler alternatives. The Ruibin S arrives as an upgraded variant of the standard Yadea Ruibin, targeting daily commuters in Pakistani cities who are looking for modern features, improved safety, and the lower running costs that electric scooters offer compared to petrol-powered alternatives. Yadea has announced an ex-factory price of Rs 193,000 for the new model.
On the performance front, the Ruibin S is equipped with a 1,000 watt motor and offers a claimed driving range of 80 to 90 kilometres on a single charge, making it practical for the kind of daily urban commuting distances that most Pakistani city riders cover. The scooter comes with a notable set of features that set it apart from more basic electric two-wheelers currently available in the market. These include front and rear disc brakes for improved stopping performance, a reverse mode for easier manoeuvring in tight spaces, app connectivity allowing riders to monitor and manage the scooter through a smartphone application, and an electronic trunk opening mechanism. A rolling mode has also been included, designed specifically to help riders push the scooter safely in the event of a puncture without having to struggle with a locked rear wheel.
On battery safety, Yadea has specified that the Ruibin S features a fireproof battery, addressing a concern that has grown in relevance across the electric two-wheeler segment in Pakistan as more products enter the market with varying quality standards. The company has backed this with a 24-month or 20,000-kilometre battery pack replacement warranty, providing buyers with a meaningful assurance on the component that represents the most significant long-term cost risk in any electric scooter purchase. The Ruibin S launch fits within a broader trend of accelerating electric vehicle adoption in Pakistan, where manufacturers including Yadea, EVEE, Vlektra, and several others are expanding their local offerings as consumer interest in fuel-free commuting grows alongside persistently elevated petrol prices across the country.
