Pakistan Digital Authority has announced the appointment of Shahbano Qureshi as Product Manager, adding a fintech and digital product specialist to its growing team as the authority continues building out the human capital required to deliver on its digital public infrastructure mandate.
Qureshi brings a cross-industry background spanning fintech, telecommunications, and brand engagement. At easypaisa digital bank, she played a key role in advancing digital lending and embedded finance solutions, leading initiatives including Buy Now Pay Later services and strategic lending partnerships aimed at improving financial accessibility and the end-user experience for Pakistan’s digitally underserved populations. Her work at easypaisa placed her at the centre of one of the most consequential shifts in Pakistan’s consumer finance landscape, where digital-first credit products have been extending access to formal financial services to segments of the population that conventional banking has historically not reached.
Prior to her fintech role, Qureshi drove youth-focused digital products at Ufone, giving her direct experience with how telecommunications companies design and deliver digital services to a younger, mobile-native demographic. Her time at Red Bull added a dimension of high-energy brand engagement and community-driven campaign leadership that reflects a capacity to connect technology products with the human and cultural context in which they are used. For Pakistan Digital Authority, which is increasingly focused on building citizen-centric digital services that people actually adopt and use rather than technically functional platforms that go underutilised, a product manager with Qureshi’s combination of fintech product depth, telecom ecosystem experience, and user-centred design sensibility is a purposeful addition to the team.
