PTCL Group, Pakistan’s largest telecommunications and integrated ICT services provider, has strengthened its collaboration with Apple’s authorised distributor and service provider in Pakistan, Mercantile, through a new strategic agreement announced at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai. The partnership aims to extend Apple’s complete product lineup to PTCL Group’s enterprise customers across the country, offering greater access to premium technology and value-added enterprise solutions.

The agreement was formalised by Asif Ahmad, Group Chief Business Solutions Officer at PTCL and Ufone 4G, and Nauman Durrani, CEO Pakistan and SVP Sage at Mercantile, in the presence of President and Group CEO Hatem Bamatraf and senior executives from both companies. The collaboration will focus on enhancing access to Apple’s innovative devices and solutions, expanding customer reach through joint initiatives, and strengthening after-sales support and reliability. Both organisations will work together to design marketing and delivery models that help businesses integrate Apple technology efficiently within their operations.

A key element of this partnership includes the introduction of the Device as a Service (DaaS) model, which will enable businesses to equip employees with advanced devices without significant upfront investment. Through this approach, PTCL Group and Mercantile aim to make enterprise mobility more scalable, affordable, and adaptive to the evolving needs of businesses. The DaaS framework allows companies to manage their technology assets flexibly, enhancing operational efficiency while ensuring access to the latest devices and support services.

Speaking about the development, Asif Ahmad said that PTCL Group’s collaboration with Mercantile underscores its commitment to expanding enterprise access to advanced global technologies. He noted that integrating the DaaS model within PTCL’s enterprise solutions will help businesses achieve smarter and more cost-effective mobility management. Nauman Durrani added that Mercantile’s collaboration with PTCL Group will allow Apple’s trusted products and services to reach a wider business community, helping enterprises accelerate their digital transformation journeys. He also acknowledged the support of PTA in facilitating a conducive ecosystem for technology-driven partnerships.

Through this partnership, PTCL Group continues to align itself with international technology leaders to enhance Pakistan’s enterprise ecosystem. The collaboration represents a strategic effort to combine global expertise with local implementation, empowering organizations with modern tools to improve productivity and drive digital growth across sectors. Both PTCL Group and Mercantile reaffirmed their shared vision of supporting Pakistan’s transition toward a digitally empowered economy by enabling businesses to adopt world-class technology solutions seamlessly.
