Nippon Express Group has acquired a stake in TCS Logistics (Private) Limited, marking a significant development in the international logistics company’s operations and presence in Pakistan. The investment brings together Nippon Express Group’s global logistics network and integrated fourth-party logistics (4PL) capabilities with TCS Logistics’ established local presence, creating opportunities for expanded logistics services, collaboration and stronger regional connectivity.
Nippon Express Group, also known as NX Group, has a long history in the global logistics sector, with roots dating back to 1872 and Nippon Express being established in 1937. The group has developed an extensive international footprint and is currently ranked fourth among global freight forwarders, with operations spanning 56 countries and regions. Its global network includes more than 2,900 locations and nearly 78,000 professionals, giving the company significant capabilities across freight forwarding, supply chain management and integrated logistics services.
The stake acquisition is expected to combine NX Group’s international logistics infrastructure and 4PL expertise with TCS Logistics’ knowledge of the Pakistani market and established local operations. TCS Logistics has built a strong position within Pakistan’s logistics and supply chain ecosystem, providing NX Group with an established platform through which it can expand its local activities while connecting Pakistani businesses with broader international logistics networks. The partnership can also support greater coordination across supply chains and create opportunities for businesses seeking integrated logistics solutions that extend beyond domestic operations.
The development also points to growing interest in Pakistan’s logistics and supply chain sector as international companies seek stronger regional networks and local partnerships. By combining global freight forwarding capabilities with local market expertise, Nippon Express Group and TCS Logistics can explore new areas of collaboration and connectivity across Pakistan and international markets. The acquisition is expected to open a new phase of cooperation between the two companies, with stakeholders anticipating further collaborations across logistics, supply chain management and related services.
