Pakistan’s IT sector made a strong impression at GITEX Global 2024, a premier technology event held in Dubai. The vibrant Pakistan Night event, held on 14th October, showcased the country’s talent and potential to a global audience.

The event featured prominent figures from Pakistan’s IT industry, including senior representatives from P@SHA, PSEB, and the Special Investment Facilitation Council. Speakers highlighted the growing collaboration between Pakistan and the UAE in the IT sector, emphasizing opportunities for joint ventures and partnerships.

The evening commenced with a warm welcome address by Ali Zaib Khan, Commercial Counselor at the Pakistan Embassy in the UAE. Distinguished speakers, including Muhammad Umair Nizam, Senior Vice Chairman of P@SHA; Raheel Iqbal, Vice Chairman of P@SHA; and Zeeshan R. Khattak, CEO of PSEB, highlighted the pivotal role of the IT industry in driving Pakistan’s economic growth.

Dr. Sohail Munir, a prominent figure in the IT sector, emphasized the strong synergies between Pakistan and the UAE, particularly in terms of digital transformation. His remarks underscored how Pakistan’s IT expertise can contribute significantly to the UAE’s ambitious digital growth plans.

The event concluded with a thoughtful address by Faisal Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Ambassador, who reaffirmed the government’s unwavering support for the IT sector and its potential to foster stronger bilateral ties with the UAE.

Pakistan Night provided a valuable platform for networking and exploring potential partnerships between Pakistani and UAE-based businesses. The event demonstrated Pakistan’s growing prominence in the global IT landscape and strengthened its ties with the UAE. It also showcased the capabilities and innovative solutions offered by Pakistani IT companies. Attendees had the chance to learn about the latest advancements in technology and explore potential collaborations.
