Federal Minister for IT and Telecom Shaza Fatima Khawaja met with Dr. Muhammad Al Kuwaiti during her official engagements under the Tech Destination Pakistan initiative. The discussion focused on Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to build meaningful global partnerships in the digital and technology sectors. Both leaders emphasized the importance of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and exploring avenues for innovation to strengthen bilateral ties in technology-driven domains.

During the meeting, Shaza Fatima Khawaja highlighted the progress Pakistan has made in fostering a sustainable digital ecosystem, powered by public-private partnerships and technology-led reforms. She reiterated that Pakistan aims to position itself as a regional hub for digital innovation and IT exports, supported by government initiatives under the Ministry of IT and Telecom (MOITT) and Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB). The conversation also touched on areas where Pakistan and the UAE could mutually benefit, particularly in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital governance, and human capital development.

Dr. Muhammad Al Kuwaiti commended Pakistan’s digital transformation roadmap and acknowledged the shared vision of both nations to advance technological cooperation for mutual growth. He pointed out the importance of aligning strategies that encourage secure and efficient digital frameworks, while also fostering research and innovation exchanges between institutions of both countries. Both sides recognized the value of continuous dialogue and joint ventures to promote resilience and inclusivity within the rapidly changing digital landscape.

The meeting reflected Pakistan’s broader vision of engaging with global partners to accelerate progress toward a digitally empowered economy. By collaborating with countries like the UAE, Pakistan aims to expand its footprint in international markets, enhance its IT export potential, and build a robust ecosystem that supports startups, innovation, and knowledge transfer. Initiatives like Tech Destination Pakistan continue to play a pivotal role in connecting the local IT industry with international stakeholders, showcasing Pakistan’s growing competence and ambition in the global technology sector.

This engagement between Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Dr. Muhammad Al Kuwaiti marks another step toward consolidating Pakistan’s presence in the global digital arena, where cooperation, innovation, and shared expertise serve as key drivers of sustainable development.
