SmartSoil AI, a Pakistani agricultural technology startup, has claimed a prestigious innovation prize at the 13th Chaoyang International Talent Entrepreneurship Conference, known as ITEC 2025, held in Beijing, China. The award was announced by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication Pakistan and PSEB (Pakistan Software Export Board), marking the achievement as a proud moment for the country’s growing technology export ecosystem. SmartSoil AI was selected from a highly competitive global pool of technology ventures for its cutting-edge integrated smart agriculture solution, which combines portable Internet of Things soil sensors, satellite remote sensing, and artificial intelligence to deliver real-time crop diagnostics and yield optimisation for farmers worldwide.

The recognition at one of Beijing’s flagship entrepreneurship platforms speaks to the rising calibre of Pakistani technology talent on the international stage. SmartSoil AI’s solution addresses one of the most pressing challenges in global food security by enabling data-driven, precision agriculture at scale, making advanced agronomic intelligence accessible to farmers who have historically relied on manual observation and experience. By integrating multiple sensing technologies with artificial intelligence-powered analytics, the platform is positioned to deliver meaningful improvements in crop productivity and resource efficiency across diverse agricultural environments.

PSEB and the Ministry of Information Technology congratulated the entire SmartSoil AI team and co-founder Abdul Rehman for representing the spirit of Pakistani innovation on the global stage. The win was described as a reflection of the growing synergy between Pakistan and China in high-quality development, technology transfer, and sustainable food security, and as a demonstration of Pakistan’s standing as a competitive digital powerhouse capable of addressing global challenges through advanced technology and hardware integration. As SmartSoil AI continues to scale internationally, its recognition in Beijing reinforces Pakistan’s potential as a high-impact source of global technology solutions in the agricultural sector.
