Pakistan Software Export Board, operating under the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, has issued an open call for top IT training providers, institutes, and universities across the country to participate in a national initiative aimed at developing a future-ready digital workforce. The program, positioned under the broader Tech Destination Pakistan vision, seeks to bring together leading voices from academia and the technology training sector to collectively strengthen Pakistan’s IT talent pipeline at a time when demand for skilled digital professionals continues to outpace supply. Applications must be submitted electronically through the EPADS portal, with a deadline set for April 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM.

The initiative spans several program areas, each targeting a distinct layer of the country’s IT capacity building ecosystem. These include Leadership and Business and Project Management Training, Industry-Academia Bridge Programs, Master Trainer Courses, Bootcamps and Short Courses, as well as BPO, LPO, and KPO Capacity Building Initiatives. The diversity of program tracks reflects an intent to address not just entry-level technical training but also institutional capacity, mentorship infrastructure, and the specialized outsourcing segments where Pakistan has an established and growing global presence. By engaging training providers across these verticals, PSEB aims to create a more cohesive and industry-aligned talent development structure rather than a fragmented set of standalone programs.

A central objective of the initiative is narrowing the gap between what academic institutions currently produce and what the technology industry actively demands. This industry-academia divide has long been cited as one of the key structural challenges facing Pakistan’s IT sector, where employers frequently report difficulty finding graduates equipped with practical, job-ready skills despite a large and growing pool of computer science and engineering graduates. Through structured bridge programs and master trainer courses, the initiative intends to upgrade the quality and relevance of instruction at the institutional level, with the aim of producing graduates and trainees who can contribute meaningfully from day one in professional settings. Eligible organizations interested in contributing to this national effort can apply exclusively through the EPADS portal before the April 7 deadline.
