Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, emphasized the need to leverage China’s technological advancements to enhance Pakistan’s agriculture sector. Chairing a meeting on Tuesday, Iqbal highlighted the benefits of knowledge exchange between the two nations following Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar’s recent visit to China.
During the meeting, the minister discussed plans to send Pakistani agriculture experts to China for further training and development, underscoring the importance of building trust between the private sectors of both countries. He emphasized that trade delegations would foster stronger bilateral relations and announced that Pakistan would address visa issues faced by its entrepreneurs with the Chinese embassy.
Professor Iqbal reassured Chinese investors of Pakistan’s commitment to their safety, affirming that the federal government is fully dedicated to facilitating private investors. He also instructed authorities to expedite the development of a framework for transferring Chinese industries to Pakistan, with a focus on ensuring quality and success in the industrial sector. The plan is expected to be submitted within a week.
