JazzWorld and Population Council Pakistan have signed a two year Letter of Intent on World Population Day to use digital platforms, data and innovation to expand access to trusted information, improve health outcomes and create more opportunities for women and young people across the country. The agreement was signed in Islamabad and reflects a shared interest in equipping Pakistan’s women and youth with digital tools and knowledge that can support the country’s longer term social and economic development.
The collaboration combines JazzWorld’s digital reach and customer engagement capabilities with Population Council Pakistan’s research and development expertise, with the two organizations aiming to design and scale initiatives focused on digital inclusion, access to trusted reproductive and maternal health information, and support for evidence based policymaking. Officials from both organizations pointed to Pakistan’s large youth population as a key reason for pursuing the partnership, noting that expanding access to reliable information and digital opportunities will play an important role in shaping how this demographic contributes to the country’s future.
Initial areas of collaboration include nationwide digital awareness campaigns, artificial intelligence enabled innovation challenges, joint research projects and digital engagement initiatives centered on maternal health, reproductive health and youth focused programming. JazzWorld Chief Executive Officer Aamir Ibrahim said the company’s role extends beyond providing connectivity, and that combining Population Council Pakistan’s research background with JazzWorld’s digital scale could help more Pakistanis access better information, improve health outcomes and unlock opportunities, particularly for women and young people.
Dr. Zeba Sathar, Country Advisor at Population Council Pakistan, said the organization has long viewed research, innovation and strong partnerships as central to addressing complex development challenges, and that working with JazzWorld would help extend the reach of that work to more communities across the country. She said the focus of the collaboration would remain on women and young people in underserved communities, through awareness campaigns, access to trusted information and connections to practical services aimed at improving their daily lives. Both organizations described the agreement as part of a broader effort to apply digital technology and data driven approaches to addressing longstanding social development challenges in Pakistan.
