The OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation, in partnership with UNI International China, along with ITMC China and leading Chinese TVET colleges, is offering online digital skills training programs for students, trainers, instructors, faculty members and technical professionals from OIC member states. The initiative is aimed at strengthening digital competencies and equipping participants with practical skills in emerging technology areas relevant to today’s digital economy.

The training programs cover four key areas, including Amazon store operations, digital marketing techniques, digitization of product selection, and AI generated content techniques. This combination of e-commerce operations, marketing skills and AI content creation reflects a curriculum designed around practical, employment relevant digital skills rather than purely theoretical technology education, giving participants exposure to tools directly applicable to online business and digital content industries.

The programs will be conducted entirely online, running for a duration of one to three months, with 1,000 seats available across the OIC member states eligible to participate. Participants will gain practical digital skills, international learning exposure, access to structured online learning modules, and knowledge of emerging technologies through the collaboration between COMSTECH and its Chinese training partners. The registration deadline for interested applicants has been set for October 12, 2026, with registration being conducted through a designated Google Form.

COMSTECH, established under the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to promote scientific and technological cooperation among member states, has continued expanding its role in building indigenous digital and technical capacity across the Islamic world through partnerships of this kind. This latest initiative with UNI International China and Chinese TVET colleges adds to COMSTECH’s ongoing efforts to connect OIC member states with international training resources, extending practical digital skills development opportunities to a broad base of students and professionals across participating countries.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come. CWPK is part of the SPIN/IDG Wakhan media umbrella.
