The University of Management and Technology’s School of Systems and Technology and School of Artificial Intelligence have issued a Call for Papers for the 7th International Conference on Innovative Computing, scheduled to take place on December 2 and 3, 2026. The conference invites researchers, academicians, and industry experts from Pakistan and abroad to submit original research papers across a wide spectrum of computing and technology disciplines, continuing what has grown into one of Pakistan’s most established annual academic gatherings in the field of computer science and emerging technologies since the conference series began.
The 20 research tracks on offer span both foundational and frontier areas of computing. Established disciplines such as software engineering, high-performance computing, computational analysis, and network and information security sit alongside more rapidly evolving fields including artificial intelligence, deep learning, machine learning, computer vision and pattern recognition, blockchain technology, and the Internet of Things. The inclusion of game-based learning, gaming and immersive media, virtual reality, ubiquitous computing, and robotics reflects the conference’s awareness that the boundaries between computing and other applied domains are increasingly blurred, and that research at these intersections often yields some of the most practically significant contributions in the field.
The dual institutional backing of the School of Systems and Technology and the School of Artificial Intelligence gives the conference a multidisciplinary character that few single-faculty events can match. Researchers working on purely theoretical problems are as welcome as those presenting applied industrial case studies, and the conference explicitly targets industry experts alongside academics, recognising that some of the most consequential computing research today originates outside the traditional university environment. This orientation toward bridging academia and industry has been a consistent feature of the Innovative Computing conference series and is expected to be reflected in the programme structure when it is announced closer to December.
