The IEEE Karachi Section is offering a free hands-on workshop on Internet of Things for Humanitarian Projects at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University on May 15, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, as part of the 2nd IEEE KHI Humanity Technology Conference and 4th International Conference on Business Management 2026. The workshop will be conducted by a team of faculty members from NED University of Engineering and Technology’s Department of Telecommunications Engineering, including Prof. Dr. Muhammad Imran Aslam, Prof. Dr. Irfan Ahmed, Dr. Sundus Ali, Dr. Hira Mariam, and Dr. Syed Talib Abbas Jafri. The session is designed to give participants practical, hands-on experience in applying smart Internet of Things technologies to real-world humanitarian challenges, with the curriculum structured around practical IoT applications, expert guidance, interactive learning, and real-world humanitarian solutions. Participants who complete the workshop will receive a certificate of participation.
For students, researchers, and early-career engineers in Karachi interested in the intersection of technology and social impact, the workshop offers direct access to experienced faculty and a structured learning environment at no cost.
