The number of people using 3G and 4G has risen to 99.85 million.

According to data from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, the number of 3G and 4G users in Pakistan reached 99.85 million by the end of June 2021, up from 98.66 million at the end of May 2021, a 1.19 million gain (PTA).

In June 2021, monthly Next Generation Mobile Service (NGMS) penetration was 45.61 percent, up from 45.09 percent in May 2021.

By the end of June 2021, the number of cellular subscribers in Pakistan had climbed by 0.77 million to 184.25 million, up from 183.48 million at the end of May.

The cellular mobile teledensity increased from 83.85% at the end of May to 84.16 percent by the end of June 2021. By the end of June 2021, the total teledensity had risen from 84.99 percent in May to 85.3 percent.

The overall number of 3G users on jazz was 7.765 million at the end of June, down from 8.001 million at the end of May, a decline of 0.236 million. By the end of June 2021, the number of Jazz 4G users has risen from 29.902 million to 30.692 million.

Zong 3G subscribers fell from 4.600 million at the end of May to 4.394 million at the end of June, while 4G customers increased from 22.676 million at the end of May 2021 to 23 million at the end of June.

Telenor’s 3G subscribers fell from 5.311 million at the end of May to 5.149 million at the end of June 2021. By the end of June 2021, the number of 4G users had risen from 16.679 million to 17.114 million.

By the end of June, the number of Ufone 3G users had risen from 4.385 million to 4.399 million. Ufone’s 4G subscriber base grew from 6.088 million at the end of May 2021 to 6.134 million at the end of June 2021.

As of June 2021, the PTA had received 16,908 complaints from telecom customers against various telecom providers, including cellular carriers, PTCL, LDIs, WLL operators, and ISPs. According to the PTA, it was able to settle 16,717 concerns.

According to PTA data, Jazz is the most complained-about telecom operator, with 7,624 complaints, while Zong is the second-most-complained-about telecom operator, with 3,661.

Cellular mobile users make up a significant portion of the total telecom subscriber base. As a result, this portion receives the greatest amount of complaints. By June, there had been 16,372 complaints filed against CMOs.

In terms of complaint segregation by operator, Jazz came out on top with 7,624 complaints, or 46.57 percent of all complaints. Zong was the subject of 3,661 complaints, or for 22.36 percent of all CMO-related complaints.

Telenor came in third with 3,025, or 18.47 percent of the total number of complaints. Ufone received 2,050 complaints about its various services, accounting for 12.52 percent of all CMO complaints.


In June 2021, PTA received 195 complaints about basic telephone, of which 179 were resolved. A total of 355 complaints against ISPs were received, with 322 of them being addressed.
