Tapmad, Pakistan’s leading digital streaming platform, has announced that it has secured exclusive digital and television broadcasting rights for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Pakistan, marking the most significant sports rights acquisition in the platform’s history and establishing it as the definitive destination for football viewing in the country during the world’s most-watched sporting event.

The upcoming FIFA World Cup will be the largest edition in the tournament’s history, featuring 48 national teams, more matches than any previous edition, and the widest global participation the competition has ever seen. For Pakistani football fans, who have historically struggled with fragmented, unreliable, or geo-restricted access to live World Cup coverage, tapmad’s exclusive rights acquisition means that every match will be available live in high definition on a single, dedicated local platform for the first time at this scale. The acquisition builds on tapmad’s existing track record of streaming major international football leagues, a history that has built the platform a loyal football audience that will now have a familiar and trusted home for the World Cup.

Beyond live match streaming, tapmad is introducing a suite of interactive features designed to raise the quality of the viewing experience well beyond conventional broadcast. These include live match timelines, team lineups, detailed player and match statistics, and minute-by-minute updates integrated directly into the viewing interface. The platform is also introducing Multi-Stream Split-Screen Viewing on its television application, which will allow fans to watch multiple simultaneous World Cup matches on the same screen, a particularly valuable feature during the group stage when several games run concurrently and fans want to follow multiple outcomes without switching between streams. Tapmad Chief Executive Officer Yassir Pasha described the moment as defining not just for the platform but for how football will be experienced in Pakistan, saying the focus is on delivering an experience that is seamless, uninterrupted, and worthy of the passion that the sport commands among Pakistani fans. Chief Operating Officer Aly Rana added that the first-of-its-kind features being introduced, including the split-screen viewing and advanced live match tracking, are designed to give fans a more immersive and interactive way to experience the tournament than anything previously available in Pakistan.
